Find out more2024 Competition Season
The competition season concluded on Sun 1 Sept up at the amazing venue in the shadow of Chatsworth House with the band finishing 4th in the G4 Marches, 3rd in the G4 MSR and 4th in the G3 Medley. Considering the excellent competition from G4A RATAE and G3B City Of Manchester, plus other excellent G4B bands, this was a great result to end the season.
The competition band played this year in the following competitions:
- 14 Apr – Indoor mini-bands, Luton
- 12 May – Jim McGinn memorial – Indoor full-bands, Luton
- 16 June – Pipes in the Park, Colchester
- 14 July – Corby Highland Gathering
- 17 Aug – World Championships, Glasgow
- 1 Sept – All England, Chatsworth
We are already looking forwards to next year with a swelling of the ranks with some excellent pipers and drummers, welcoming back both some past members and some from other local bands that are currently non-competing.
If you are interested in joining our competition band, and have piping experience, do get in touch.
